Last Saturday, sophomore forward Veronneau tallied two goals and two assists to help Princeton rally to a 6-5 win over Rensselaer in overtime as it earned its first ECAC Hockey victory of the season. Senior star Mattaliano, who currently stands 11th all-time at Princeton in kills with 1,101, was recently named the Ivy League Player of the Year after helping Princeton go 19-4 overall and 13-1 Ivy on the way to winning the league title outright and punching its first ticket to the NCAA tournament since 2007. TOUGH TO STOP: Princeton University football player Isaiah Barnes fights for extra yardage in recent action. Last Saturday at Cornell, senior receiver Barnes enjoyed a career game, making seven catches for 170 yards, including a 95-yard TD reception, as Princeton rolled to a 56-7 win over the Big Red. It was the second-longest touchdown pass in Princeton history, trailing only a 99-yard connection between Matt Verbit and Clinton Wu in a 2003 win at Brown. As a senior at Princeton University in 2012, the distance running star was known for training like a metronome on the track, flying through one repeat after another. He also slept in an oxygen tent to help replicate the advantages of being at a higher altitude. more
