Wading Toward The Fountain of Freedom

Keeping cool in Sunday’s heat, two young bathers seem to be focusing their attention on the multiple water sculptures being created by James Fitzgerald’s fountain, which still forms the dramatic focal point of the Woodrow Wilson School’s Scudder Plaza. A formidable new distraction now fronting Robertson Hall is “Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads,” 12 sculptures by the Chinese artist and social activist Ai Weiwei, which will be on view for a full year, as of August 1.
