The Princeton Community Democratic Organization will hold its monthly membership meeting on Sunday, December 18, at 7 p.m. (a half-hour earlier than usual for refreshments) at the Suzanne Patterson Center (behind Borough Hall). Participants are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items or personal care products as part of the ongoing Yes We Can! effort. The focus of the meeting, which will officially begin at 7:30 p.m., will be on consolidation: what the transition year holds, and how the PCDO will need to adjust.
New Jersey Future is seeking nominations for 2012 Smart Growth Awards, which recognize innovative projects, plans, or initiatives. Guidelines and a nomination form are available at www.njfuture.org/sga or call Teri Jover at (609) 393-0008, ext. 113. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 3. Winners will be selected by jury and recognized at New Jersey Futures annual Smart Growth Awards celebration on June 7, 2012.
The Mercer County Board of Elections will hold public meetings regarding the new election district map for the consolidated Princeton Township and Princeton Borough on Wednesday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Monday, December 19 at 5:30 p.m. All meetings will be held at the Princeton Township Municipal Building (Main Committee Meeting Room), 400 Witherspoon Street.
