The tree removal permit for 140 Hun Road was reviewed and approved in accordance with Princeton’s Tree Removal Ordinance. A site plan or building plans are not required to obtain a tree removal permit, and the review is based solely on the standards established in the ordinance.
Prior to the application being approved, the Municipal arborist conducted multiple site visits with the developer to review the existing trees and discuss the ordinance requirements. The property owner subsequently submitted the required application materials, including a tree replacement narrative/plan and tree removal plan, both of which were determined to be in compliance with the ordinance.
As required by the ordinance, all contiguous property owners were notified prior to the permit being issued and before any tree removal occurred. The permit was evaluated independently of any future development plans and was approved based on compliance with the applicable municipal requirements.
