Celebrating America At 250

Award-winning poet David Mills read Frederick Douglass’ 1852 speech “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” at the Fourth of July Festival at Morven Museum & Garden on Saturday afternoon. The event also featured live music, games, arts and crafts, community partner activities, tours, food, and more. Attendees share what brought them to the festival, and if they learned anything interesting/new on America’s 250th anniversary, in this week’s Town Talk on page 6. (Photo by Pat McCarron)
