“Sing In: Songs of Justice, Joy and Resilience,” a free concert featuring Mark Miller, will be presented at Princeton United Methodist Church (Princeton UMC) on Thursday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m.

Miller is a clinician, organist, and faculty member at Drew University and Yale Institute of Sacred Music. He believes that music is instrumental in healing the world. He also adheres to Cornel West’s belief that “Justice is what love looks like in public.” His hymns and anthems are sung by communities of faith throughout the world.

Known as a “musical griot,” Miller believes that music, social justice, and the beloved community are inextricably tied. Even when anguish and apathy seem to hold sway, his music declares that hope will never fail.
