State Theatre New Jersey presents the national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, Monty Python’s Spamalot, for four performances on Saturday, June 27, at 2 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, June 28, at 1 and 6:30 p.m.

A party with the cast will take place in the STNJ studio after the Saturday evening show and include food, music, and giveaways. Tickets for the show start at $52. Tickets for the Cast Party are $10.

The show, which first appeared on Broadway in 2005, features a book and lyrics by Eric Idle and music by John Du Prez and Idle. The original Broadway production was nominated for 14 Tony Awards and won three, including

Best Musical.

Taken from the film classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot has everything from flying cows to killer rabbits, British royalty to French taunters, dancing girls, rubbery shrubbery, and the Lady of the Lake. Spamalot features well-known songs including “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” “The Song That Goes Like This,” “Find Your Grail,” and more that have become classics in the musical theater canon.

State Theatre New Jersey is at 15 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick. Visit Stnj.org for tickets.
