Call for Art: Mercer Senior Citizen Art Show

The Mercer County Division of Culture & Heritage, in partnership with the Mercer County Office on Aging, has announced that it is preparing for the annual Mercer County Senior Citizen Art Show. The show will be on display from July 20 through August 6 at the Conference Center at Mercer, located on the Mercer County Community College West Windsor Campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Any Mercer County resident ages 60 or older may submit artwork to the Mercer County Senior Art Show. Submissions must be original artwork created within the last three years and must not have been previously entered in the Mercer County Senior Citizen Art Show or the New Jersey Senior Citizen Art Show.

Artists may submit one piece of artwork in one of 11 categories: acrylic, craft, digital art, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, print, sculpture, watercolor, and works on paper.

The registration deadline is July 8. Artists may register by completing the online registration form at tinyurl.com/9eazx3ay or by filling out the print registration form and mailing it to: Mercer County Division of Culture & Heritage, 640 South Broad Street, Room 417. Trenton, NJ 08611.

Registered artwork must be dropped off at the Conference Center at Mercer on July 14 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

“In Mercer County, we are always working to highlight the amazing talent of all our residents, no matter their background,” said County Executive Dan Benson. “This show gives us the unique opportunity to showcase the work of our seniors. We look forward to another successful year of creative competition from artists who make our community proud.”
