Princeton University Concerts Announces Upcoming Season

Princeton University Concerts’ 133rd year of programming has been announced. Season highlights include a new piano recital series, the 5th anniversary of the Music & Healing series, debuts and anticipated returns, and events beyond the concert hall.

From September 2026-May 2027, 17 performances span diverse artists, repertoire, and formats in which to experience chamber music, with 14 artists making their Princeton University Concerts debut. Curated series include the new Pianists in Recital series featuring Sir Stephen Hough, Tony Siqi Yun, and Mitsuko Uchida.

The Concert Classics series at Richardson Auditorium will feature the Brentano, Ébène, and Danish String Quartets; cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras with pianist Alexandre Tharaud; violinist Nemanja Radulovi with the Double Sens Chamber Orchestra; soprano Asmik Grigorian with pianist Lukas Geniušas; pianist Stephen Hough; and a trio comprised of violinist Hilary Hahn, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, and pianist Benjamin Grosvenor.

Programming for the Performances Up Close Series includes the Sandeep Das Trio; mezzo-soprano Ema Nikolovska with guitarist Sean Shibe; pianist Tony Siqi Yun; the Junction Trio; and violinist Isabelle Faust with harpsichordist Kristian Bezeidenhout.

Actor Alec Baldwin, jazz pianist Brad Mehldau, and pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen are among those taking part in the Music and Healing Series. An intimate evening with pianist Mitsuko Uchida is also scheduled.

Community Engagement events include masterclasses, Do-Re-Meet pre-concert social events, documentary screenings at the Princeton Garden Theater, and free programs including Live Music Meditations, the Annual Chamber Jam, and book discussions at the Princeton Public Library.
