Princeton Recreation Continues to Shine with Inclusive Programming

To the Editor:

We often tell ourselves how fortunate we are to live in a wonderful community like Princeton. In an increasingly noisy and sometimes divisive world, our town offers a place of respite and refuge for many.

This couldn’t be more true for the parents of special needs children seeking extracurricular activities. These activities help build friendships, provide much needed exercise, and allow our children to experience the joys of being on a team.

Princeton Recreation has made this possible. Many sports opportunities can prove challenging for those with special needs. Princeton Recreation has made a commitment to meeting these needs and has built an inclusive recreational program for children and adults in our community.

Over the past several years, Princeton has supported sports clinics, Zumba, and yoga opportunities for special needs community members.

Princeton Recreation has also been very accommodating of suggestions from parents. Whether it’s creating a pickleball clinic or forming a cooking class, the staff at PRD have been open and willing to try new things for our community.

Princeton Recreation shines brightly in their commitment to providing recreation for all and building a wonderful community in the process.

Thank you, Princeton Recreation.
