Call for Signature Image For Phillips’ Mill Show

“PHILLIPS’ MILL”: This work by Jay McPhillips was the signature image for the 96th Juried Art Show at Phillips’ Mill last year. Submissions for this year’s show are being accepted from April 1 -21.

Phillips’ Mill’s 97th Annual Juried Art Show committee invites artists to participate in its search for the signature image for this year’s show, which will be held in the fall. The signature image, an artistic representation of the historic Mill, is used on marketing and advertising materials including postcards, advertisements, invitations, social media, banners, lawn signs, and on the Phillips’ Mill website.

Submissions are being accepted from April 1 -21.

The winning artist will receive a $500 honorarium and will be promoted through press releases; social media; in The Grist, the Mill’s newsletter; and on its website. The work itself will automatically be included in the juried art show. The artist may also submit additional entries to the show as outlined in the show’s prospectus.

Previous years’ images have included whimsical as well as traditional depictions of the Mill and its surroundings. Collages, watercolors, oils, and acrylics have all been selected, so artists are encouraged to use their favorite medium, with the exception of photography, and let their inspiration be their guide when creating their vision of the Mill, inside or out. To see images from past shows, visit the Past Exhibitions page at phillipsmill.org/art/art-exhibition-archives.

Artists are allowed one entry only and must live within a 25-mile radius of Phillips’ Mill. All work must be for sale. There is no submission fee.

Visit the Mill website for eligibility details, instructions, and guidelines on how to submit your work. This information can be found under the Mill’s News & Blog section at phillipsmill.org/post/2026-signature-image-call-for-artists. For questions, email signatureimage@phillipsmill.org.
