To the Editor:
On behalf of the Princeton Garden Theatre board and staff, we want to sincerely thank the Princeton community for donating $115,500 (in amounts from $10 to $10,000) in a mere two months to meet our fundraising goals for Phase 1 of our Projector Project.
Thanks to your generous support, the Garden is able to purchase new digital projectors that will provide sharper images, richer colors, and improved clarity for our audiences. Approximately 3 percent of the money raised for the projectors came from businesses in the area.
The outpouring of support in such a short time reflects how important Princeton’s only independent theater is to the fabric of our community. We are beyond grateful for the support.
The Garden is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit movie theater that relies on ticket purchases, memberships, grants, and individual and corporate donations to stay in business. This money ensures we can continue to provide Princeton with the latest releases, restored classics, and special programs every day of the week.
With the new year comes new opportunities to support the theater. We will roll out the red carpet on March 15 for our well-loved Hollywood Awards Party. Come cheer on your favorite actors and movies as we watch the drama unfold at the awards on the big screen. All are welcome. Check the website for details and ticket prices.
Again, thank you for your continued support of the Princeton Garden Theatre.
