Old York Cellars in Ringoes kicks off the 11th season of its Wine & Comedy Nights on April 11. The event pairs nationally touring stand-up comedians with Old York Cellars wines and chef-driven cuisine in an intimate setting inside the winery’s heated vineyard tent.
Held two Saturdays each month from April through November, Wine & Comedy Nights have drawn guests from across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. Each show features a different rotating headliner, including comedians who regularly perform in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and New York City, many with television credits and stand-up specials. The season opens with Philadelphia-based comedian Chris Coccia, followed on April 25 by Chris Monty, a longtime winery favorite whose credits include an Amazon Prime stand-up special and numerous television appearances.
Wine & Comedy Nights are hosted by Helene Angley, a Mercer County-based comedian who performs regularly at comedy clubs nationwide and on cruise ships around the world. Angley also books local featured and opening comics to round out each show.
“Wine & Comedy helped shape how we think about experiences at the winery,” said David Wolin, owner of Old York Cellars. “Guests come here for well-made wines, thoughtful food pairings, and experiences they can build a visit around — from the Hunterdon Wine Express to our chef-curated wine pairing dinners and our Cabana Village.”
Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show beginning at 8 p.m. Seating is limited, and reservations for the season are now open.
