“BABY BEAVER”: This photograph by Ann Bastian was taken in the Stokes State Forest. It is part of an exhibit by the Stonebridge Photo Group, opening with a public reception on Friday, January 30 at 3 p.m. at the Stonebridge at Montgomery retirement community in Skillman.

All are invited to visit a unique photo gallery, featuring the work of the Stonebridge Photo Group. The Group represents over 30 senior residents of the Stonebridge at Montgomery retirement community, just off Route 206 in Skillman, who meet monthly to share their photographic skills and interests.

The current display captures a recent moment: the December snowstorm along the Beden Brook. The gallery also draws from the residents’ photo archives: a sunset on the Mario Cuomo Bridge, a young beaver venturing into the Stokes State Forest.  There’s much more to see, through the lens of seniors with diverse ways of exploring the world.

A public reception for the Winter Gallery will be held on Friday, January 30, at 3 p.m. at the Stonebridge Main Building, 2nd Floor, 100 Hollinshead Spring Road, Skillman, Montgomery Township.

The gallery is also open for viewing to Stonebridge visitors during business hours. The Photo Group is led by residents Jock MacFarlane and Jim Collins.
