Concordia Chamber Players Performs in Bucks County

Concordia Chamber Players invites audiences to experience chamber music spanning four centuries when they present “Stardust” on Sunday, February 22, at 3 p.m. at Trinity Church, 6587 Upper York Road, Solebury, Pa.

The program’s title reflects the transcendent quality of each composition, from the meditative beauty of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt to the Romanticism of Robert Schumann. The concert marks the Concordia debut of pianist Simone Dinnerstein, who has performed internationally, from Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center to the Berlin Philharmonie and Vienna Konzerthaus.

Joining Dinnerstein are Concordia’s string quartet: violinists Rebecca Fischer and Rubén Rengel, violist Jordan Bak, and artistic director and cellist Michelle Djokic. In addition to Part and Schumann, the program features works by Bach and Telemann.

The public is invited to attend a free open rehearsal on Saturday, February 21 at 3:30 p.m. at Phillips’ Mill, 2619 River Road, New Hope, Pa. Tickets for the main performance on February 22 are $40 and available at concordiaplayers.org or at the door. Students under 18 years are always welcome free. As part of Concordia’s commitment to making chamber music accessible to families, one accompanying adult is also admitted free with each child under 18.
