“KITE AND KEY”: This work by Denise Jill Marshall is featured in “Water,” on view January 9 through March 21 at Wynter Gallery in Lambertville. A reception is on Friday, January 9 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Wynter Gallery has announced the opening reception for “Water,” a new exhibit featuring the work of photographic weaver Denise Jill Marshall, on Friday, January 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 4 South Union Street in Lambertville. All are invited to meet the artist and view this collection of work.

A veteran landscape photographer, Marshall creates work that is a vibrant study of light, color, and feeling. Her innovative practice has been featured in galleries around the world, earning her numerous awards and a devoted following.

“Water” began to flow in 2020, when Marshall started deconstructing and weaving her photographic prints, layering different papers to form singular compositions. Through this meticulous process, the original images undergo a striking visual transformation, reborn as powerful new works that alter how viewers encounter texture and space.

This compelling body of work offers a new way to discover the fluidity, depth, and transformative force of water through Marshall’s evocative lens.

Wynter Gallery is dedicated to showcasing contemporary photography that challenges perception and engages the community. Located in the heart of Lambertville, the gallery features a rotating selection of works from established and emerging artists nationwide. For more information, visit wyntergallery.com.
