Voices Chorale NJ Presents Winter Concert

REGIONAL PREMIERE: The program by Voices Chorale NJ at Trinity Church on December 13 celebrates the season with the local premiere of a work by John Whittaker as well as carols old and new.

Voices Chorale NJ’s annual winter concert at Trinity Church on Saturday, December 13 at 4 p.m. features the regional premiere of A Garland for Christmas by contemporary British composer John Whittaker, a work that embraces the warmth, feasting, and frivolity of the season spent with family and friends.

Also on the program are settings of traditional carols, as well as new texts of seasonal imagery written by both American and British composers. Favorites such as In Dulci Jubilo, Sussex Carol, and Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day are included.

Voices Chorale NJ (VCNJ) is an auditioned chorus with members from throughout central New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. Under the direction of David A. McConnell since 2018, VCNJ continues its mission to inspire audiences with outstanding music, provide performance opportunities for skilled singers, and produce high-quality music education opportunities for youth and adults.
