15th Annual Red Dot Exhibition at Artworks

One of Artworks Trenton’s signature events, the “10×10 Red Dot Fundraising Exhibition,” returns on December 14. Each 10”x10” piece becomes an artwork that gives back, directly supporting the arts community and Trenton area artists.

The red dot on each piece signals community support: for Artworks, for local, regional and international artists, and for the vibrant arts culture in Trenton. The resulting works are dynamic and diverse, spanning oil, acrylic, mixed media, photography, pastel, watercolor, and more. Each artwork is priced at $100, with $50 going to the artist and $50 to Artworks; in many cases, artists opt to donate their full proceeds, contributing to Artworks’ year-round programming.

“We look forward to this exhibition each year. Seeing all the different works by artists young and old, all from the community of artists that we have cultivated over the years is inspiring,” said Addison Vincent, creative director of Artworks Trenton.

Members enjoy a special benefit, with early access to the show. By becoming a member, attendees gain entry an hour before the general public on December 13 at 5 p.m., getting first access to these unique pieces. Memberships start at $25 per year. The opening reception for the public begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. Sales will continue through January 10.

Can’t make it to the gallery in person? The “10×10 Red Dot Fundraising Exhibition” is also available online through Artworks’ virtual gallery experience. From anywhere in the world, viewers can browse every submitted artwork, discover new artists, and purchase pieces directly from the exhibition. The virtual gallery launches at 6 p.m. on December 13 and will remain live through January 10.
