“RED GERANIUMS”: this work by Lori Langsner is featured in an exhibition by the Witherspoon Artist Collective, on view at the Arts Council of Princeton December 13 through January 3. An opening reception is on December 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Andrew Siegel Gallery at the Arts Council of Princeton (ACP) will host an exhibition of local artists paintings and drawings by the Witherspoon Artists Collective. It will be on view December 13 to January 3, and the public is invited to the opening reception on Friday December 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Witherspoon Artists Collective includes artists who have studied painting and drawing at the Arts Council of Princeton working in oil, acrylic paint, and pastels.
Charles David Viera, faculty member and curator of this exhibition, said, ”The Arts Council offers excellent classes with an exceptional faculty offering instruction in the area of adult painting and drawing. These adult classes are very accessible and as good as you can get outside of a university setting. Some of the artists in this exhibition have been studying with me for years and others come and go as their schedules allow. The unifying theme of this exhibition is that all of these artists are local, they have studied at ACP, and they are all excellent artists that are now being recognized as such.”
Artists exhibiting include: Si Chang, Paula Huttner, Margaret Kalvar, Luccia Carsky-Wilson, Lori Langsner, Geraldine Shea, Marisa Braccia, Hoke Bullard, Cynthia Butler, Anne Diebel, Jane Goble, Erica McEnery, Jane McCort, and Pam Potenza.
The Arts Council of Princeton is located at 102 Witherspoon Street. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4pm, and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit artscouncilofprinceton.org or call (609) 924-8777.
