On Saturday, December 7 at 3 p.m., the Princeton University Sinfonia will present its annual Winter Concert at Richardson Auditorium, led by Ruth Ochs.
On the program are Brahms Symphony No. 2, Sibelius Valse Lyrique, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Vaughan Williams “Fantasia on Greensleeves.” The program will also feature the Princeton University Clarinet Ensemble, Jo-Ann Sternberg, director.
The Sinfonia is a full symphony orchestra made up of undergraduates, graduate students, and members of the musical community to explore diverse symphonic repertory from four centuries.
Ochs has been conducting at the University since 2002, in various capacities. She is also in her 20th season as music director of the Westminster Community Orchestra. In 2019, she received the Princeton University Pace Center for Civic Engagement’s Community Engagement Award. She is currently Senior Lecturer in the University’s Department of Music.
Tickets to the concert are $16 general admissions and $6 for students. Visit tickets.princeton.edu.
