Whodunit Farce Comes To Kelsey Theatre

A comedic web of foul play, set against the backdrop of a “play within a play,” comes to the stage of Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC) Kelsey Theatre when the Yardley Players present the farce Drop Dead! on MCCC’s West Windsor Campus, November 7-16.

A ragtag group of has-been actors attempt to revive their careers in this full-length murder mystery. Almost immediately, the set falls apart, props break, and the producer and an actor meet an untimely demise. But in the spirit of the theatre — the show must go on. Even as the curtain opens for the cast’s debut performance, the murders continue and the play goes incredibly wrong. It’s up to the remaining thespians to save the show, their careers, solve the mystery and stay alive for curtain calls.

Dates and showtimes are Friday, November 7 and 14 at 8 p.m., with matinee performances Saturday, November 8 and 15 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, November 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor Campus is at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Tickets are $24 for adults and $22 for seniors and students. Visit kelseytheatre.org.
