SAYING I DO, MAYBE: The Princeton Triangle Club’s new musical takes a comedic look at a will-she-or-won’t-she bride and her wedding at McCarter Theatre.
The annual Triangle Club Show at Princeton University is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, November 14-16, at McCarter Theatre.
With book, music, and lyrics from the Triangle Writers’ Workshop, Aisle be Damned! is the title of this year’s production. The Triangle show is a 135-year tradition and features undergraduates at the University. Alumni include F. Scott Fitzgerald, Brooke Shields, James Stewart, and Ellie Kemper, among others.
Aisle be Damned! is described as the wedding of the year. “No expense will be spared when a wealthy prodigal daughter walks her nobody-fiancé down the aisle — or will she? A-list guests, royal ex-boyfriends, and boy bands all have something to say about the match, or mismatch, of the century,” reads a press release on the production.
The new musical comedy will be performed at McCarter’s Matthews Theatre on Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, November 16 at 2 p.m. Those attending Friday with premium tickets can attend the opening night party. At the other two performances, premium ticket buyers get a free drink in the lobby by showing their tickets.
McCarter Theatre is at 91 University Place. Visit mccarter.org for tickets.
