“UNDER SEA LIFE”: This acrylic on canvas work by Richa Rashmi is part of her exhibit at the Montgomery Township Municipal Center. An artist reception and talk are on November 6 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Montgomery Township’s municipal center lobby space has been transformed to exhibit intriguing designs by contemporary abstract artist Richa Rashmi. The display is on view through the new year.
An artist reception and talk are on Thursday, November 6 from 6 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments served. All are welcome.
Rashmi’s contemporary abstract art is meditative, raw, and expressive. For her, painting is not just a practice but a spiritual act — an honest exploration of life, self, and the meaningful connections that bind us all.
“Art, for me, is about creating bridges between inner emotions and the outer world,” said Rashmi. “I’m grateful for the chance to share my work in Montgomery and hope it offers moments of peace, connection, and inspiration to those who experience it.”
Rashmi is a contemporary abstract artist whose work is deeply rooted in emotion, spirituality, and connection with nature. Encouraged by her father’s guidance, her love for art began in childhood and blossomed into a lifelong passion. In 2017, she embraced her path as a full-time professional artist, and since then, her journey has been one of exploration, experimentation, and discovery. Working primarily with acrylics and watercolor, she creates abstract, contemporary, modern, and folk art that captures moods, memories, and the beauty of everyday life.
Rashmi’s work has been exhibited widely across the U.S., Canada, and internationally, with solo and group shows at venues including the Indian Consulate in New York City, Alfa Art Gallery, One Art Space Gallery NYC, and Novartis, among others. She has been featured in many magazines and newspapers and is represented in both private and corporate collections globally.
