State Theatre New Jersey presents “The Moth Mainstage in New Brunswick: Daring – True Stories Told Live” on Friday, October 17 at 8 p.m.
Five storytellers will explore the theme of “Daring,” with true and personal stories told live and without notes. These are stories of bold choices, audacious proclamations, and moments that required everything they had.
The Moth is a nonprofit that believes in connecting humanity through the power of personal storytelling. Since its launch in 1997, The Moth has presented over 65,000 stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. The Moth produces 600+ live shows annually, as well as the Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour, and The Moth Podcast.
Storytellers include Anne Abel, a late-in-life influencer and author; Sidhu Gangadharan, a past awardee of an Academy of American Poets prize; Arshiya Kapadia, a global communications strategist and storyteller based in the New York tri-state area; Claudio Mir, a Dominican actor, writer, and musician; and Michaela Murphy, a writer, playwright, storyteller, Webby Award-winning director, and teacher.
State Theatre New Jersey is at 15 Livingston Avenue. Visit Stnj.org for tickets.
