“NATURE & BEYOND”: A joint exhibition of works by TingTing Hsu and Carol Sanzalone will be on view at Artists’ Gallery in Lambertville October 9 through November 2. An opening reception is on October 11 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Artists’ Gallery, 18 Bridge Street, Lambertville, will present “Nature & Beyond,” a joint exhibition of works by TingTing Hsu and Carol Sanzalone, October 9 through November 2. An opening reception is on Saturday, October 11, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Born in Taiwan, Hsu now resides in Princeton, where she works primarily in oils. She earned her MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art, N.Y.

An experienced educator, Hsu has taught at Fairleigh Dickinson University and continues to offer both in-person and online classes from her Princeton studio. Drawing inspiration from her Taiwanese roots, her cross-cultural journey, and the beauty of the natural world, she uses bold strokes and subtle details to create paintings that celebrate the diversity and vitality of life.

A resident of Lambertville, Sanzalone has degrees in studio art from Douglass College of Rutgers University and Graphic Design from Tyler school of Art of Temple University. In addition to exhibiting her paintings, she has taught many watercolor and acrylic workshops in Princeton and the Delaware Valley areas and taught art at South Hunterdon High School for many years.

Creating compositions inspired by sunlight, shadows and nature, using images associated with seasons and places, are subjects she explores throughout the Delaware Valley and beyond. Her additional experience in printmaking, silkscreen, and lithography informs and enriches her paintings as she works in watercolor and acrylic using transparent and opaque washes of color.

Artists’ Gallery is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
