Noting That Traffic Will Be a Problem With Proposed Stockton Street Project

To the Editor:

Looking at the rendering of the proposed Stockton Street project which appeared in last week’s paper [Defend Historic Princeton paid advertisement, page 15, September 10] , I was shocked by what I saw. The buildings are huge and dwarf everything around them. The picture looks like a small city.

A project this size does not belong in my neighborhood or yours, or any place in Princeton. The traffic from all the cars will be horrible. Having driven on Stockton Street at 8 in the morning, I know the congestion coming into town is already like a wall of steel. Many, many more cars at that hour would be terrible. And that time of day is also school bus time. Bus drivers would probably need to pick up children at an earlier hour to navigate the traffic. A project of this size is a very bad idea.
