Princeton Animal Control Officer Arrested on Assault Charges
Princeton Animal Control Officer Saul Nathan Barson was arrested on February 20 by the Solebury (Pennsylvania) Police Department on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility.
Mr. Barson has been suspended from his job without pay pending further investigation, according to Princeton Municipal Administrator Marc Dashield.
Solebury Township police report that they received information about a sexual assault involving a 13-year-old child that took place on February 3, 2017 at the Pat Livezey Park in Solebury Township. Further investigation revealed Mr. Barson, a 29-year-old Lambertville resident, as the alleged perpetrator.
Mr. Barson was arraigned by District Court Judge Gallagher, who set bail at 10 percent of $300,000. Barson was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
