Martha Washington Shopped Here

Captions Market 5-25-16

Back for its third year, McConkey’s Artisan Market at Washington Crossing Park will feature 60 vendors selling crafts, up-cycled items, handmade jewelry, original art, photography, clothing, collectibles, furniture, and pottery. Admission to the market is free and will be held rain or shine on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. McConkey’s Market takes its name from the park’s McConkey Ferry Inn, parts of which date back to 1750. A letter from George Washington to Colonel Cadwalader places Washington at the inn on December 25, 1776, just prior to his crossing of the Delaware River. Pictured: necklaces by As the Crow Flies.
