For Voters in June 3 Primary, Party Affiliation Forms Must be Received by Clerk Before April 9
To the Editor:
Given that Princeton is basically a one-party town, the only opportunity residents will have to make a contested choice for Princeton Council will be through the Democratic primary, which is being held on June 3.
As has been widely publicized, there are three Democrat candidates running for two openings. The two who win that primary will, in all likelihood, be elected to Council in November. Two of the candidates — Sue Nemeth and incumbent Bernie Miller — are running as a team and incumbent Jo Butler is running alone on her qualifications.
Residents wishing to choose among the three must be registered voters affiliated with the Democrat party. Voter registration forms as well as party affiliation forms are available at the Princeton Clerk’s Office (609) 924-5704, which is located at the municipal building at 400 Witherspoon Street. In order to vote in the June 3 primary, party affiliation forms must be received by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office before April 9.
