FLU VACCINATION UPDATE: The Princeton Regional Health Department received only the partial amount of its order of flu vaccinations and will likely not receive the remaining amount until December, according to David Henry, department health officer. As such, only a limited amount of vaccine will be available for the first senior flu clinic scheduled for November 1 at the Princeton Senior Resource Center's Suzanne Patterson Center. The second clinic, originally scheduled for November 8, has been rescheduled to an as-yet-determined December date at the same location. The November 1 clinic will no longer be a walk-in clinic based on the first letters of a resident's last name. Rather, all seniors who wish to attend the November 1 clinic are now required to register for their flu shot by calling (609) 497-7608 during regular business hours. Those who do not make the registration list for the first clinic will be put on a waiting list for the second clinic in December. Mr. Henry recommended that residents wishing to find other means of receiving a flu shot should visit www.findaflushot.com for a list of area clinics.

Princeton Regional Schools will host an Open Forum on the future of its Valley Road site, tonight at 7 p.m. in the John Witherspoon Middle School cafeteria. KSS Architects of Princeton, the firm contracted to study the building, will solicit information from residents and local business owners on the building's current and future uses of the building. Members of the community, particularly neighbors and business owners, are invited to attend.

Nominations for the MLK Day Journey Award will be accepted until Wednesday, November 15. The award recognizes a member of the Princeton University faculty, staff, or student body who best represents the continued journey of Martin Luther King Jr. Nominees should support King's philosophy and teachings and have actively contributed to the improvement of civil rights and/or human rights. A panel of judges will select the award recipient. Preference will be given to candidates who have positively affected the Princeton University community. The Journey Award will be presented during the University's King Day celebration on Monday, January 15, in Richardson Auditorium. Nomination forms are available on the MLK Day Web site at www.princeton.edu/mlk/journey. For more information, call (609) 258-9522.
