Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

"What is your opinion about the Medical Clinic Task Force determining there is no need for an out patient clinic to remain in town after the hospital relocates?"

"I think that it is a wise decision because if you had a clinic on Witherspoon Street, you would have two separate medical places. It would be better to have one location where you could consolidate all of the services under one umbrella. Even if there were a clinic here, you likely would have to go to the hospital anyway to get things done that were not available at a clinic. It is also better financially for the hospital."

Roland Alexander, Leigh Avenue

"It would depend upon if there are other places in town for people to get outpatient care conveniently. Based on the lack of other care facilities, I think that it is a bad idea to not have a clinic here."

Christi Owen, Emmons Drive

"For me, I could readily get to the new hospital, but for many, that is not so easy so there should probably be a clinic in town."

Steve Komis, Hutchinson Drive

"People in town will be able to use the new facility so it is OK to not have a clinic in town. People have to get off these crowded little streets with all the people around."

Perry Leavell, Hodge Road

"I think that it is a bad idea to not have a clinic in town. There is a large community that surrounds this hospital that is going to have a large deficit when the facility leaves."

Stuart Lieberman, Western Way
