A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues
Question of the Week: The Democrats have retained control in Princeton. How important is party affiliation in local government and why?
"In the long run, it probably does not. In the township and the borough, it is very individual here, despite party affiliation. It depends on what their own voters want and what they think is best for the town."
Mary Bonotto, Clover Lane
"No. I think on this level of government, it is the individual strengths that matter."
Donna Liu and daughter Louise, Southern Way
"Hard to say. There seems to be a controlling group of Democrats who get their candidates in regularly they decide among themselves what issues they want to handle and how they want to handle them. They do not seem to be too responsive to the expressed interest of the people."
Bert Wohl, Randall Road
"Yes. We our feelings are the company that we keep."
Alisa Wain, Maidenhead Lane
