Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

“What area of Princeton do you think needs the most attention now?”
Asked at Saturdays’s Princeton Future Meeting

“Alexander Road corridor needs attention with the University planning its future in that area. It’s important for Princeton Borough and Township to look at how their components fit in there.”

Joshua Zinder, Princeton

“The Olive May and Video store site is in dire need of attention. It’s a blighted area with no sign of a tenant and a missed opportunity for the neighbors in that area.”

Bill Moran, Princeton

“The hospital site will soon be available. It’s an enormous space that has been a bone of contention for the neighborhoods on both sides of the hospital. It would be lovely for the Borough to keep control on the development especially, the ground floor leases.”

Anne Neumann, Princeton

“The Olive May and old video store site. It would be wonderful to have this area developed into a community center for kids. There are not enough places for kids to go. It would be great for kids to have the opportunity to work at the center and give back to the community.”

Marie Galaftro, Princeton

“I would like to see more playgrounds, baseball fields, ice cream and pizza stores near my school [Community Park].”

Matteo Constantine, Princeton

“If you’re going to make a change in a particular neighborhood you must pay attention to what the effect would be on the existing neighborhood. You must look into all the consequences. Think about the real consequences. This is a topical concern not a geographical concern.”

Anne Studholme, Princeton
