U.S. Representative Rush Holt (D-12) will host a telephone town hall meeting with Central New Jersey residents on Tuesday, June 29, at 7:20 p.m. The one-hour meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to ask questions and share views on the challenges facing the state and the country, including the economy, health care reform, energy sustainability, retirement security, the situation in the Gulf, and anything else that may be on their minds.As a representative, I continue to hear the concerns of Central New Jersey residents and work to address their needs, study their issues, and get solutions that ensure fairness and promote opportunity. Applications are now available for the Mercer County Bar Foundation Scholarship. Since the early 1960s, the Foundation has awarded scholarships to individuals pursuing a legal education in accredited Law Schools. The scholarship is awarded to a student who shows financial need and is involved in community organizations. Applicants must have some ties with Mercer County. To be considered for an award, applications must be completed and returned by July 31.
