With Garage, Pergola Still Incomplete, Borough Could Approve Property Transfer

Although a remediation effort for a leaky floor in the Spring Street Municipal Garage is as yet complete, as is a pergola that is to provide the finishing touches along the periphery of the plaza that abuts the Princeton Public Library, Borough Council has begun negotiations that could result in the early ownership transfer of Witherspoon House that contains the popular restaurant Witherspoon Grill.

Former President Bill Clinton took a serious tone in his address to graduating seniors last Monday on the normally jovial Class Day for graduating Princeton University seniors, urging civic involvement and the creation of diplomatic networks in a world that continually grows closer together.

"Princeton has given you personal power: power of the mind, power of the imagination, power of what you know and what you can learn, the power to work with the people you know, and how to make new friends, and new alliances," he said, positing a diplomatic ideal through creating relationships.
