Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

What are some of your favorite places to shop in Princeton and are there any stores that you would like to see move into town?

"I really liked the Gap and wish it would come back, and I would like a cheap grocery store."

Kirk Doran, Princeton University graduate student

"We really like J. Crew, Honey West, Rouge and Ralph Lauren. We'd like to see some 'teen age' stores like American Eagle."

"My favorite place is Micawber Books. As for new stores, that is a tough one — I am satisfied with what we have now."

Fred Hargadon, Harrison Street

"I really like Zoe. I can't afford it all the time because I am a graduate student, but I like to go in there and look at all the beautiful clothing. I like Rouge — they have lots of up-and-coming designers and Banana Republic. My favorite store in the whole world is Anthropologie. I think that it is an amazing little store. There is one on Rte. 1, but I would love to see one come to Princeton."

Sarah Szczepanski, Princeton University graduate student

"We enjoy shopping at Rouge, Zoe and Coach. We'd like to see another clothing store like J. Crew or Banana Republic — not too expensive — something a little more for teens."
