State Likes UMCP Move, But Urges In-Town Clinic

A state analysis examining the proposed relocation of Princeton HealthCare System's University Medical Center at Princeton and Merwick Care Center to Plainsboro indicates that the commissioner of the state's Department of Health and Senior Services could very likely approve those efforts. But there is a caveat: a condition of approval could include that the hospital maintain a satellite emergency department on the existing Witherspoon Campus.

After Investigation, Credit Card Thieves Caught in the Act

Two credit card thieves preying on victims in a busy public location in Princeton Borough recently have been arrested, capping a successful end to a month-and-a-half investigation of a series of thefts.

School-Police Policy Change Outlined in New Document

The 15-page policy document presented at the last meeting of the Princeton Regional Board of Education is titled "Cooperation with Law Enforcement Agencies," and it was worked out as a supplement to the 1999 memorandum of agreement between Princeton Regional Schools, Borough and Township Police, and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.
