Last night (after Town Topics press time), the Princeton Regional Board of Education met in open session to discuss the upcoming 2007-08 school budget.
At a special public meeting last Wednesday, February 21, the board prepared for last night's meeting with a preliminary discussion. The main topic was whether or not to have a second question on the ballot when the community votes on the budget in April.
Two years ago, Princeton Township embarked on its largest-ever road reconstruction plan, with a project cost coming in just under $8 million, doubling any seasonal roads program in the town's history.
Near the industrial southern part of the Princeton University campus, amid the trailer-style office buildings, and surrounded by the steady flow of service vehicles tending to campus infrastructure, sits the naturally-lit office of Shana Weber, the school's first sustainability manager, who could very likely double as a cause célebre, as Princeton (the town) embraces sustainability.
When the Oscar results were announced, there were few surprises for the team that produces Princeton's weekly movie review program, A Fistful of Popcorn.
The show, which has a devoted audience in Princeton and beyond, has developed its own winning formula since its inception almost a decade ago.
