(Photo Courtesy of the Historical Society of Princeton) FRATERNAL FARMING: Stanley and Sewell Updike used to farm on the family property through the 1970s, with their primary cash crop being sod. The Historical Society of Princeton (HSP) acquired the Updike Farmstead and the building slated to be the organization’s future home base in 2004. An in-depth look at the land, and surrounding historic community, is the subject of “Stony Brook: Gateway to Princeton,” the HSP’s latest exhibition on view until July 4 at Bainbridge House, 158 Nassau Street.
