Only six months after launching its ITNGreaterMercer transportation service for seniors and the visually impaired, the Greater Mercer Transportation Management Association (TMA) has split with ITNAmerica, the only national non-profit transportation network that provides a model for volunteer-based senior transit programs.
Erin Dougherty, who will officially assume the role as executive director of the Historical Society of Princeton on February 20, is looking both forward and outward as she approaches the start date of her tenure.
The outward view takes in the Historical Society's eventual move to the preserved Updike Farmstead off Quaker Road, which is just one of many organizational changes on her plate, creating a lively start to her new position, and not a lot of time for a learning curve.
The Princeton Township Department of Engineering's outlining of its road reconstruction plans usually runs like clockwork this time of year. This year, however, those plans may have already hit a speed bump.
Members of Township Committee Monday night looked at the Engineering Department's report calling for nearly eight miles of road improvements costing just over $3 million, then looked at pending budget caps in the form of state mandated tax reform, and said that this could be the year when some residents might have to live with a pothole or two.
