Navy Midshipman Richard H. Pyfrom, son of Rick and Sheila Pyfrom of West Windsor, was recently inducted into the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., where he began six weeks of Plebe Summer at the academy.
The orientation program begins four years of preparation for commissioning as a Naval or Marine Corps officer. During Plebe Summer, Mr. Pyfrom will learn basic skills in seamanship, navigation, infantry drill, sailing and marksmanship. At the end of the summer, he will be ready to join the rest of the brigade when the academic year gets underway this fall.
The Fellow grade is conferred upon a member with at least 10 years of active engineering practice who has made significant contributions to the field. Mr. Simmons earned his masters in business administration in finance from Ohio State University.
